Also, they say live and learn...well I've learned. On our site we give away a free product every week, it's typically a less expensive product we offer as a little extra treat for people who go to the site with the intention of actually buying stuff.

Well, a little while back my partner was in the X-mas spirit and decided to make the free product the Tantus ripple, which retails for about $33. Candidly, I was blown away by the amount of people that came to the site and only came for the free ripple. In fact, so many people came to the site to get the ripple, that our supplier ran out! Of all the people who came to the site for the ripple, only ONE actually bought anything additional. So, we while this may sound like I'm bitching and we did take a bit of a hit, in hindsight two good things came out of it. 1) I learned a valuable lesson on human behavior that has helped us with marketing and such and 2) In the spirit of Christmas I do feel good, a bit like Santa in fact, knowing that tons of people got a special "Present" from me.

So, if the two of you who follow me ;) [THANK YOU!!!] and the couple dozen who read this could take that spirit of giving and pay it forward, I think that would be great. Heck, you could also go to the site, buy a gift for that special someone, and add the freebie to your cart for yourself! :)

The Flight of the Indie...

So - I thought I'd write a bit about my company, Naughty and Discreet. It's amazing how much time and effort it takes for one woman to follow her dream. I knew I was in for a challenge when I decided to take on some of the well known websites, but I felt that I have a message to deliever and damnit, I was going to make it!

So, My website, http://www.naughtyanddiscreet.com has gone through two facelifts, I've spent HUNDREDS, if not thousands of hours to gather the best products, put intensity scales and sound scales on them, and on and on....

Well, I found this cool website http://www.keywordspy.com and realized I am in deep poop. This site will show you everything you ever wanted to know about what your competitor is doing with online advertising. The big sites, edenfantasys, tootimid, both have daily ad budgets over $1,000! I was blown away! My prices are lower & my products are better and I struggle to get traffic while these guys buy it like crazy!

Anyway...The point of this is to let you know that while I am a small company, I will always do better by making sure you get the best products and prices. Please help the little gal and spread the word!

Xtreme Xtasy Rabbit

Today's Blog is going to be about a fantastic little couples product called the Xtreme Xtasy Xtreme Rabbit. I tried this product with my husband last night and it was awesome. My husband said he liked that it wasn't some complicated thing that came with a book of instructions so you could use it, it was simple to put on and really didn't put the brakes on the passion as it only took about 45 seconds to put on the first time he ever used it! He said the ring was just right, the testicle cling wasn't too tight, and the little bullet in this thing packs quite a punch!
The pleasure for me was in the nubs and the little rabbit ears. Movie Review!!

So, I thought I would do something different and instead of talking about our toys, dangerous toxins, or anything else serious - I would review a movie.
Yesterday my husband took me out for sweetest day. We went to a new theater near our home called Hollywood Palms. When he told me we were going there I was a little disappointed as I was hoping for something a bit nicer for our rare getaway. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised! We drove up to the theatre and I was immeadiately impressed. They had those super powerful light blazing up into the sky like a hollywood premier. Upon first entering the establishment you're taken away to a beautiful place with palm trees, tiki bars, and a raging waterfall. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for real movie nostalga in a great setting.
The movie he took me to was "Couples Retreat", with Vince Vaughn. I start by saying movie was hilarious! While the character Vince played isn't too unfamaliar from some of his other characters, the other cast played well off of him. This was not the movie you go to and only laugh once in a while and mostly at things you've already seen in the preview, this movie kept me smiling the whole time and tear-filled laughs came by the boatload. Even my husband was laughing out loud freely!
The basic premise is four couples go to a tropical paradise to have some well deserved relaxation. The ensuing chaos and comic bliss is perfectly done. While the movie does take a little long to get to the tropics, the part before they get there is just as funny as the rest and definitly something those of us with kids could enjoy just a little bit more than others. Although I did notice young couples that apparently had no kids laughing just as hard as we were.
I started my business hoping to bring couples closer togother and while every movie can't be relevant to that initial goal, this one certainly is. I will close by saying I give this movie a total yes as it was absolutely hilarious!

Toy Talk

So, let's talk toys. I would love it if I could find a toys that could really please me with earth shattering orgasms while I was playing by myself AND one that could be added to the bedroom to make my toes curl when I'm with my Husband.

Enhance your Romance

In my previous post I spoke about the trigger that led me to seek out and provide my clients safe, toxic free romance products. In this post I'd like to talk about why I started my site in the first place. http://www.naughtyanddiscreet.com/ is the result of a desire to rekindle the sparks that had fizzled out of my marriage a couple years ago. The reality is far too often people in marriages drift apart because the "fast food lifestyle" so many of us lead. Running the kids from soccer to Tae-Kwon-do, picking up the dry cleaning, golf, business commitiments, etc.

When it came down to the romance, it just seemed to slowly go on the back burner and eventually off the stove!

Well, this is my first post and I hope it provides you some knowledge you didn't have before. The purpose of my blog is to talk about the dangers of toxic Phthalates in romance products. What's crazy is the Environmental Union received a request from Greenpeace in 2006 to do ban the use of Phthlates in Sex Toys. To date, there is nothing in law about the use of the toxin in romance products. What I find absurd it that it is banned from childerens toys, but not vibrators. The chemical becomes much more dangerous when it reaches temperatures above 85 degrees and is subjected to bending or pressure, both of which occur pretty much every time you use your product. The lesser manufacturers place "For entertainment purposes only" or something similar on the product to sidestep liability.
